OC
Origin: Born from the blood-storm wracked remains the world now featured in "Ragnarok or Judgment?". Partially based upon the being known as "Shade" from the Legynds of the Dragonrealm series, by Richard A. Knack. Part of hisotry comes from his work and I claim no ownership whatsoever on what may be concidered his work.
Name(s): Jace Holt (rolled randomly )
Nickname(s): Jace, 'Mancer, Corpse-Raiser
Theme Song(s): 'The Night' or 'Facade' by Disturbed
Physical Age/Real Age: Physical age: Unknown...even to himself! Looks about 20-21, but his eyes(if you see them) and mannerisms betray his age...
Appearance: Average, if somewhat thin, person, stands about 6' tall, and keeps his face hidden by a cloak of deepest dark on him at all times. His face, if you ever see it, is a a sharp, noble face, with black eyes, which are marked with insomnia and age.
Demeanor/Behaviour: Calm and controlled, he is always awake, partially due to the events which led to his current 'condition'. Although he aids the forces of good, he would be more sutably catigorised as a perfect 'neutral' as his 'condition' causes him to be pure good one lifetime, and evil as a daemon in human form the other. Regardless, he is a mage of increadible power, and he knows it.
Transportation: Wraping his cloak about him, he forces the rules of reality to break, teleporting him increadible distances in the blink of an eye. He also walks on the rare occassion.
History: Although he has lived long enough to have witnessed the creation and rise of humans over the previous dominant race, Jace himself recalls non of this. The reason is, that he was an apprentice to another being in a diffrent reality. In his original life, he worked with his master to gain the ultimate power: Immortality.
Using magic which breaks apart reality (and led to the utter destruction of both master and puipl's real home reality), they attempted to raise the two opposite sides of the magical spectrum, Light and Darkness, and use thier power to atain immortality. However, due to a slight miscalculation the powers broke free and took both master and student and attempted to tear them away from the opposite power for thier own use. Obviously thier bodies were completely destroyed by the powers, and faded away into nothingness.
Weeks passed, and eventually the master rose again in a mockery of immortality that would last for millenia until his disapearance from the reality to which he belonged. The pupil, however, also rose in a diffrent reality, and with a much milder (relativly) curse than his master. While he is cursed to swing from one master to the next, Jace can still somewhat remember his past lives with clarity, and has all the power of millenia of practice andexperiance to boost his powers. Unlike his master, Jace has managed to remain anonymous over the millenia, his work accredited to other humans. With each life, he strives to undo the work that his preceding life has done, and beat the one that came before that life.
Sample RP: Give at least a paragraph of how you would RP with this character.
Both: Points-based once I learn how to though, for now freestyle.
~Battle Information~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Strengths: He is nigh un machable when it comes to spells, as his age and experiance to multiple lifetimes has enabled to to know and do every single trick in the book, and then next book, and the next one still...
Weaknesses: His split lifes cause him much anger, in 'light' personalities hate the work his 'dark' lives have done, while his dark lives hate his weak-willed work while in his 'Light' lives. His third lives, 'Neutral' hate his dedication to either side wholeheartedly, and wishes that 'they' could see the use of neutrality.
Battle Style: Every way, completely at one with his spells. He never actually engages with a weapon, and used his spells as whatever weapon he needs. His style and preference vary with what shade his life has.
Light: will work to support his ally(ies) in battle, using his powerful spells to neutralise the enemy and protect those who are weaker than him. His spells use the 'Sanctioned Arts'(see below) which do not tamper at all with the lines, and work with the curves and focal points of the reality in question. [Ultimate: Ultimate Judgment]
Dark: Bloody, Grim, and with little care for his allies, he will be a tornado of violence that few could match, and freindly casualties are frequent once he gets into the groove... His spells tear at the natural structure of reality, forcing things through by dominatin the reality and breaking the all-important lines and fields of power {the Unholy Arts}.[Ultimate: Oblivion]
Neutral, will flit from one manner to another, suddenly shifting as is necissary, while not completely becoming one shade for too long. His arts will vary with what the situation now demands. Will use spells from both arts, but not their respective ultimates [Ultimate:Aurora Ominae]
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Equipment: His cloak is as much his armour as his cloathing, to all who try to peer into it, they will see only black, as well as black travelling cloaths underneath(which is really just another part of the cloak itself). Over the years Jace has enhanced his cloak to incorporate defensive spells which work to add more protectetion than the material itselfwould indicate. It is indestructable, and vanishes upon death, destroying the body in the process, only to re-appear on the next life's body as it rises.

Artes:
Universal:
1) Immortal: Jace is truly long-lived, and has massive amounts of magic at the tips of his fingers and tounge. This confers his other arts as well as his spells.
2) Ultimate Master of Magic: Having live through millenia of spellcasting, Jace can easily cast any spell he wants by simply willing it to happen. As such his cast times are at longest one turn. He can also see the condition of the lines and feilds of power overlaid upon the reality lesser beings see.
3)Memories of Lives Lived Past: Jace has a faint memory of what his other lives have lived, but it is far from perfect...only his skills get passed onto his next life relyably.
4) Blink: By twisting his cloak about himself, Jace teleports to a place he visualises in his mind, although unreliable if he has never seen it himself.
5) The 'Condition': jace is held hostage by two opposing powers, each with its own goals in sight, every time Jace dies, he randomly revives as one of the other shades, usually nearby, within just afew minutes of his passing. Exception is with ultimates, where his life dwindles to nothing...then Explodes in a display of his new shade of life.
Sanctioned Arts
1) Rightous Binding: bending the lighter shades of magic to his will, Jace reaches out and holds down a group of targets, stunning them for afew seconds and buying his allies time to react.
2) Ray of Light: a simple magical light bolt, it either minor heals or minorly harms the target, depending on who Jace intended the bolt for, useful as a flashlight too...
3) Divine shield: Creating a wall of light, Jace provides his allies sanctum within it's area of effect for a minute, before flckering out as any attacks finally burn away the mana invested into it. [4 turn cooldown]
4) Healing of the Faithul: just your typical run-of the mill major healing spell [2 turn cooldown]
5) Blessings of the Realm: tapping into the lines of power, Jace endows his freinds and allies with the power of the reality itself, majorly boosting thier strength, endurance, toughness, and magical resistance for awhile. [lasts 4 turns, cooldown 6 turns]
Neutral Arts
1) Unstablise reality: Breaking the local lines of power, Jace renders certain magic types unusable, although he is careful to not rend them too much. In-game, it causes Magic to be void for all parties involved [Lasts 4 turns, cooldown 7 turns, never in the same location]
2) Neutral: Every Unholy spell must be countered by a Sanctioned spell, in order to attempt to maintain true magical neutrality.
3) Realm Protector: Jace's Sanctioned arts also repair the damage to the lines of power the unholy spells cause.
Unholy Arts
1) Doombolt: basicly a multi-warhead magical missle, it breaks the lines of power and consentrates the 'lifeblood' of the reality intoa missle, which flies towards it's victem and breaks apart at the last second, bombarding the entire area around the target with magical explosions.
2) Rule breaking: Shattering the appropreate lines of pwer, Jaces gains a temporary control over what the rules are: of everything. Can't be used to instantly kill major beings/PC's [Lasts 2 posts, cooldown 10, any changes not mentioned are left as normal]
3) Leech Essence: Replacing himself with the nearest intercetion, he regenerates any damage done unto him by the lesser beings. [Cooldown: 5]
4) Reality shield: Jace Sheilds himself, by tearing open reality around him. Anything that try to affect him will be sucked into the tear to be left in the Void between realms. [Lasts 1 Turn, Cooldown 3 turns]
5) Side Effects: Unholy magic is aptly named, as it harms the world just as much as those it is used against. Any severe usage of his powers will cause the forming of an unstable region, areas where magic use will casue mana overflows to occur, although they last 1d6 turns, they leave visibly scars to those who can sense such things as the fields of power.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Finishers:
Although he has three, Jace actually only has one available during each life, and his other lives admenently refuse to even think of it as a choice, sometimes so much that they forget the spell if they even bothered to try to cast!
Light Shade:
Judgment:tapping into every line and field of power within 3 miles, Jace consentrates it all onto a single point in the palm of his hand, the power shining as a holy beacon to all, and as a deadly harbinger of destruction for foes. The energy lashes out at everyone, and either heals them or deals massive amounts of light/energy damage. Jace can also focus it all onto one point, completely obliterating any minor foe, or severly weaken/wound any larger creature. The lashbacks harm Jace, potentially killing him and summoning his Dark life right there and then! [cooldown 15 posts]
Neutral Shade:
Aurora Ominae:Tapping into the feilds of power, and breaking through the dimensional barrier to his dying home reality, 'Neutral' Jace creates a massive sphere of anti-matter contained in a feild of anti-mana contained by the sheer willpower of Jace. Obviously the results are as damaging [and damning, debably] to foes as to freinds. It deals massive amounts of both Non-Elemental magic damage and non-magical Thermal Damage to any caught in the blast, and it leaves the area unstable from the intrusion of the dying reality. Lashbacks harm Jace, and could potentially kill him and summon whatever life follows his (I rollz a d100 to chose! hehe!) [Cooldown: 15 posts]
Dark Shade:
Oblivion: Breaking the lines of pwer, and calling forth the god-like power from the pitifull wreak of his unworthy 'home' reality, Jace combines the two powers in order to create a massive storm of destruction that sucks all involved into the dying reality of Jace, where reality has been so damaged by the use of the Unholy arts that the sky has revolted and become green, no life is capable of surviving, and the decaying earth crumbles into nothingness as one looks upon it. Strong-willed beings can resist the pull, but take high amounts of kinetic damage, and any magic use in the area thereafter causes such dangerous instabilities that any attempt to cast causes an power overflow: an explosion as mana spirals out of control and revolts against the caster, a phenominon even spirits and 'gods' fear happening and ignores any defenses the caster has in place. Jace risks dying should he no treat himself, and foolishly summon Neutral, or worse: Light into the world. [15 post cooldown, irregularities last 5 turns which can be sensed by any magic-using or spirit being (such as Noctornus, and the others)]
Temporary Equip: Nill.
