"Interesting....I wonder if the gate purposly dropped me here for this reason..." Osseron muttered to himself as he looked on at the mural of the fighting. Walking up next to Nocturnus, Osseron looked down the stairs that had appeared. checking the frequencies again, he though he caught something in the infrared band, but he couldn't be quite sure. "Hmm...interesting, these stones of the stairs and whatever else is down there...it seems to be somehow interfering with my scans! I must make sure to come back after we are done and collect samples." Looking up at Nocturnus, Osseron smiled and answered "I would guess so! Seems kind of an odd collection, to be honest, but lets get this over with...I really feel like coming back here with the Engineers!" Turning back to the others, he took advantage to make sure his hidden weapons were at the ready, exposing his blades, smoke deployers, and defensive hardeners before finally pulling his Ancient Gear Blaster out of it's sling on his back and hefting it over his shoulder. "You two ready for this?" (Ancient Gear Blaster: gun this guy has: www.adventureson.com/bbcart/images/prods/Yu-Gi-Oh-Lost-Millenium-Ancient-Gear-Soldier.jpg just not built into the arm.)

[ready to go down the stairs] " sigh. well then, it seems like were following the plans of these "Gods"(said aggressively)". he said this wile staying as close to Ignis and her white flame as possible. "I hope you two can try not to go insane without my white flame. because I won't be able to maintain it down there. I do need to reserve power you know." she said this as she shifted into battle mode with a whimsical smile. and stopped her white flame.
"Well it seems were all ready but you Mr. Mage. Better brace yourself, knowing these "Gods" it must be one hell of a dreadful pest down there."

"Well it seems were all ready but you Mr. Mage. Better brace yourself, knowing these "Gods" it must be one hell of a dreadful pest down there."
"Ah, yeah. Coming!" Said Genis, as he walked down the stairs. What had he gotten into? He barely knew what evil he was heading into, or what traps could be down there. What kind of enemy would it be? And, most importantly, how did the ancients know they were gonna show up? Genis thought and pondered, to no avail. As he traveled down the stairs, the Mana in the air changed. It got heavier, denser...older. Whatever this evil was, it was from a LONG time ago.
As the stairs opened up into a room, one could clearly see more battle. Skeletons, still in full armor and armed, laid on the floor, scattered. The room looked like the one above, however, this one was slightly reddish from the dried blood, giving it a more hellish look. There was no statue at the end, just a door. Dark energy could be felt seeping from the floor, into the room.
"Well, no sense in hanging around here. Let's get goi- UWAH?!" Suddenly the boy yelled, as a clitter-clatter echoed in the room. Evil laughter and screeching pierced their ears. The clinking of metal dominated, as the skeletons started to rattle and got up . They started to march towards the group, slowly, deadly. "Oh great. Undeads! What could be better than dark-elemental monsters?! Get ready, everyone! It seems that we gotta fight our way through!" said Genis, before he started to focus for a spell.
(OCC: Well guys, I gave you your first battle sequence. Take this as RP school. Try your best, and I'll try to help along the way ^^)

well apparntly the skeletons got up and started walking towards us. "you sure don't see that every day" said Nocturnus as he created a large black scythe in his right hand, and a kinda evil looking claw on his left. "you pathetic little skeletons think you can hurt me!" said Ignis as black flames started to wind around her (Nocturnus:Not again)." I will reduce you all to ash!!" She then proceeded to incinerate the nearest skeleton, then the next one, and the next one, and you get the picture.
"well look who went insane now. seriously, do you ever heed your own advise?" said Nocturnus as he slashed through two skeletons and raised his left hand to face 8 more "Shadow Burst!" A large concentration of shadows shot out of his left hand like a cannon, and suddenly the skeletons were gone (the ones he was aiming at) He then slashed down three more and turned to see how Ignis was doing, careful not to have any skeletons behind him.
apparently she just kept incinerating skeleton, after skeleton.
Sigh . . .
he then turned to the other two "Ignis seems to be in a bit of a rampage" He shouted over the skeletons to the machine guy and the mage "I would recommend not getting in her way If you value you lives." "well then back to business" he then proceeded to slash down 3 more skeletons.
[total number destroyed 36]

"Well, lookit that!"
Osseron stoped in amazment as the skeletons started to get up, but quickly recovered, grinning darkly as He put away his rifle. Choosing a direction relativly far from those chosen by Ignis and Nocturnus, Osseron ran straight at the skeletons, readying his hidden mechanisms and activating his armour hardener as he closed to the first one.
Ducking under the swipe of an axe, Osseron reached out and crushed the offending sceleton, before continueing his charge and almost running over another skeleton who had been slow to stand up. Sending a fist out into the mass, Osseron smiled as the skeleton he had aimed at swerved to the side, just before having its head detached by means of his hidden blade.
Using the blade in all honesty, he continued fighting againt the skeletons, blocking any incoming blows with his shield (now deployed from his left arm) before quickly counter-attacking with either his kneecap's pneumo-hammer or hidden blade. The windchimes, the whole while, started almost chanting kill! yes keep killing! KILL THEM ALL! only stopping to move a limb to better defend the body from an axe or blade that would be unseen by the concious part of Osseron.
Almost like a rythem, Osseron settled into a pace, set by the windchime's chanting and his own thoughs, increasingly echoing those of the chimes as the battle progressed.
Turning around and blasting another skeleton with his rifle (When did I have time to pull this thing out? Osseron thought) As he looked around for more targets, having destroyed those in his immediate vicinity (Without leaving any blood to the pretty room! added the windchimes) he looked around at his next vic- allies. Noctournus was slashing away at the skeletons while Ignis simple kept running up and incinerating whatever got too close, leaving almost comical piles of ashes on the ground.
Running towards the next group of skeletons, Osseron threw himself into a frenzy of hacking and slashing, trying to outpace the two Spirits and the mage.

[same place] "Shadow Burst".
"well thats the last of them." he said this. then turned around to find two battle crazed sociopaths and a little mage in the background.
"sigh.(with an awkward smile) well at least the skeletons are done now."
"So why don't we all just try to relax and not kill me."
Ignis takes a deep breath. then her black flames dissipate. "Fine but your going to have to get me something to eat later. promise?"
"Sure. why not. however. would you be so kind as to lessen our little friends blood lust over there."he point to the cyborg
"Calm down" her white flames emerge around her and engulfs the cyborg(does not hurt him).

Osseron stiffened as the last skeleton fell, fighting for control over the windchime's urge to charge and kill the mage and spirits, only to relax as the white flames enveloped him. He could feel the chime's scream of rage just before being silenced, but in a way...it wasn't too bad. Although the aggression left, as well as the chimes, he had to stop and breath before he could start bringing himself down from his battle frenzy (what the medical Engineer had diagnosed his 'condition').
Shaking his head clear of the lingering battle frenzy's effects, he looked back to the pair and smiled "Thanks...just don't do it too often, or else lose my touch and have to stick around with you two!"
Retracting his weapon mechanisms back into himself (which were many, as they had all gone out when the windchimes had tried to force him to lose control), he walked towards the door, looking at his arm through his cybernetic eye to distract himself from the fact he nearly lost control...more so than he ever had before. "Nothing on infrared, moderate magnetometric, just a tiny pinch of gravitometric feedback...intresting."

[here still but not for long] Ignis retracted her flame. "remind me next time to incinerate him instead of helping him"she said to her brother. "thats not nice Ignis. he may be annoying but thats no reason to kill him. and who knows he might make a fun traveling buddy, hehe".
"humph. no he wouldn't. he and Aqua, maybe, but he cant stay with the two of us" she said rather indignantly.
"OK, OK, just kidding. hehe." turning to the mage "come on little mage hurry up or well leave you behind." Buahahahahaha.
(better post soon Skipy ;D , or you realy might get left behind.)

"O' Mighty Cosmos, bring-"
"Come on, little mage! Hurry up or well leave you behind!" Buahahahahaha!"
Genis was about to destroy all the enemies with a single spell, one of his most powerful, but it seemed the fight was over. Genis saved his spell with Spell Save, just in case he would need it again. The symbol of power which radiated under him faded away, and a little crystal formed. Genis caught it and put it in his pocket. He then ran ahead to his allies.
"Sorry guys...kinda wanted to do something there. I'll do it later." said the boy, with a blush. This was bound to happen some time or another. Spells took time to be worked, ya know. "Let's go then, shall we?" said the boy, as he followed the two Spirits and the Mech-Warrior into the cave.

[going down. . . .] after that weird room I was expecting something . . . Grand. however, I rely did not expect what came next.
"waaaaaaa. WHY ARE THERE SO MANY STAIRS!!!." screamed Ignis.
"well what did you expect? It is a small temple there rely isn't any way to go but down in these type of places." said Nocturnus apparently too himself as Ignis simply kept complaining.
then suddenly the stairs came too an end. this room was completely different room, for one thing there wasn't much of a floor, only a 2 meter wide walkway running from the door to what appeared to be a solid granite wall. on either side of the walkway there was nothing, just what appeared to be a bottomless pit. "dam. well I dint't expect that." said Nocturnus looking over the side.
"Do you hear that?" said Ignis
"hear what?"Asked Nocturnus
"That noise. it sounds like screeching." answers Ignis
Nocturnus looks up.then whispers "don't. make. a sound" at the moment he is thinking "why the heck did I agree to come down here. seriously. how the heck did bats get down her, and how did they get so dam big?"
(tell me if this isn't a good post. I won't hold it against you)

Osseron had stopped as quick as he could when the shadow spirit had suddenly stopped and wispered for him to be quiet. Slowly tilting his head upwards, he was surprised to find what could only be explained as freakishly large bats nesting in the roof of the room.
Keeping his head still, Osseron looked back down at the walkway, taking a good hard look at the wall the walkway seemed to end in.
Whispering as quietly as he could, and still be heard by the shadow spirit, Osseron ask quickly "That Wall, think it's fake?" before quieting as the bats seemed to pick up on the noise and grow agitated for awhile before resuming thier normal noise.
Meanwhile, Osseron tightly clenched his fist, the servos whinning quietly for a second as he directed extra power to his arm and legs for what he had planned.

Bats? Seriously? The ancients seemed to hate these adventurers. I mean, what could be worse than enemies that flew, that hovered, that were very hard to hit...that flew . Enemies that flew were normally weak to strong drafts and winds, due to the fact that their extra-light frame could not hold them against such forces. With enough windpower, the bats would flail in the sky, crushing and breaking each other as they go. However, it would be nice to slowly and easily walk away.
"You guys," said Genis in a whisper, "maybe I could blow these guys away...but I need you to protect me, if they were to wake up. They look...scary." Although Genis knew these place was probably filled with fake exits and hidden doors, he might as well make it safe. You never know when these things might go into a feeding frenzy...
"O' Mighty Winds..." the mage drifted off into casting.

[in a very precarious situation] as the little mage started to cast. the bats started to wake. and they were one hell of a sight. and not a nice one at that. "very well little mage. Ignis if you would be so kin could you use your crimson flame on the mage."
"why cant I fight?" she complained as she started troding to the mages side. she then enveloped both the mage and herself in an intensely burning crimson flame.
"because you are the best at protecting other people my dear little sister." he said with a slightly evil smile.
"you'd better be ready for a fight cyborg" then the bats started descending to attack.
"better clear the air then" as two of the creatures got too close he whispered "Grand Shadow control" chains shot out of his shadow and skewered the two bats. then the chains vanished. and the bats fell down into the abyss.
"that should make them be more wary about getting too close." he said as he materialized a chain sickle
"now this should be a fun fight. If we don't die that is. hehe"

"Gah! Why couldn't they be ground-dwellers?! I hate Fliers!!!" Osseron screamed as he punched one of the bats that tried to knock him off the edge. Looking at Nocturnus, Osseron shouted over the screeching of the bats "I'm going to see if there's an exit behind that wall! Keep them off me!"
After denying another bat's attempt to kill him, Osseron planted both feet firmly into the ground and removed all safety restrainers of his cybernetics, while simultaneously pumping more power than should ever be put into any machine into his limbs. Electricity began to jump out of his body as his entire system began to over power itself, the glow of energy visibly lashing out at the nearby bats.
Clenching his fist, Osseron launched himself at the granite wall with near-super sonic power, plowing through the bats between him and his target. A few of the bats which had been flying too close to the walkway met a gory death as Osseron's combined mass and speed worked to literally smash through the futile resistance offered by their body's as he made his way to the wall.
Arriving at the wall a split second later, Osseron shouted out his finale's true name "Mech Art: LIMITER REMOVAL!" before pounding into the wall with all the might of an Ancient Gear Golem.
The resulting explosion, both from the speed and force of the blow, covered the area immediately around the wall, and splinters of granite flew out into the bats. However, what was also heard was the screeching of metal and an unmistakable scream of pure, undiluted pain from within the cloud of pulverized rock.

Well, that made two people that needed defending. As Osseron broke a hole to which to escape from, Genis had his spell ready. He was about to finish, when he heard a scream of true agony, along with the explosion of rock. "Osseron!" yelled Genis in a worried tone. He must have done something and hurt himself! Now, you'd think Genis would say something like "To protect my friends, I'll use my pew pew magic!" Well, no. He's scared as one could be. Only the barrier of fire was protecting him from the claws ,teeth, and death of a bat, not mentioning the GIANT ABYSS UNDER THEM! But that was about to change. The big spell he'd been charging is done.
"Hold on guys! The spell won't touch you, but the bats can knock you down! Except you, Osseron. You're too heavy for that..." said the half-elf mage, before the power released.
Suddenly, a jade green glyph appeared under him, as they did with all his spells. Winds and gusts rushed in the room, knocking the bats out of balance.
"O' Mighty Winds, Gather Before Me, and with your Power, Transform into Blades of Air! Slice and Dice, Cyclone!" As he said the words, the wind concentrated and condensed, until it was visible. Soon, spinning air, sharp as blades, formed a tornado in the room. However, this tornado was different. First, neither the walkway, the fire, or Genis/Genis' allies were affected. Second, it spun faster than normal. Third, it was full of bats. Their super-light frames could not stand the pressure, and they were sucked into the vortex, clashing into each other, breaking parts, being torn up by the wind as they went. Blood soon tainted the cyclone red, and the screeching of the bats increased in pitch. Genis strained, keeping the bats within the winds, hoping his power was enough to cage them until Osseron could recover and escape.
"Guys, I can't hold them forever! Either help Osseron or get out of here, fast! And, by the way...THE MAGE NEEDS PROTECTION! When Osseron is safe, get to me and KEEP ME ALIVE!" Said Genis, over the roar of the wind.
